The Fieldwork: artifacted tote in washed olive

Regular price $ 58.00 Sale

The Fieldwork: artifacted tote. In mottled hand-dyed washed olive with khaki undertones. It has holes. It's frayed. It has seen things. (But it's suuuuuuper solidly stitched.) Pleasing organic shape. Large front pocket. And no, the pocket is not filled with holes; the pocket has an extra, smaller panel on the front. WHICH, if I may use bad grammar in starting this sentence, is smothered in holes, and sewn on at just the top and bottom, so you could run a scarf through there if you want. Just a serving suggestion.

Artifacting. That's my term for making a new piece of clothing that appears to be old. Here's what I've written about the process.

• made from: 100% cotton canvas
• actual measurements: the bag is 14 inches high and 15 wide at the bottom; the top opening is 12 inches across. The pocket is 9 inches across the top, 8 deep, and 11 inches across the widest part of the bottom. The single shoulder strap is 46 inches long and 2 wide
• hand made by me in my studio, hand dyed by me in my cellar
