burnt umberings: linen tunic. Sculptural, flattering bell-shaped linen tunic with an expansive asymmetric hem. I wear mine over leggings, long straight skirts, and once in a while: pants. When it's cold I add a cropped cardigan on top or a fitted long-sleeved shirt underneath. Or both. My point is: it's great for layering.
About this color: I have dyed this garment to a deep saturated shade of burnt umber with black highlights. Burnt umber is both brown and red, each fighting the good fight for your consideration. It is not: rust, burgundy, or maroon, somehow. Trust me, I stared at it for a very long time. It is: super lush ... deep ... earthy ... oxide-infused ... and inherently painterly.
