Is it really a cape if it has an armhole? I've asked my philosopher husband and he said: that's a tough question. I guess that's what they taught him to say up there at the university. I've got no other name for it though.Armed Cape sounds rather aggressive. Jackape sounds kind of insulting.
Ceremonial Soil: linen cape. Mud brown cape (or milk chocolate, if you prefer – they both deserve a ceremony) with sublime draping and pleats, a dramatic collar, the aforementioned single (oversized) armhole – and then over on the other side, where the seams come to points, they open to form a slot for your other arm, so your interpretive dance career can continue unheeded. Whew.
particulars: • rough size: pretty much one size fits all. It has an oversized arm hole. If you're super petite it might get baggy, but maybe in a way you'd like? I'm in the 2X range and tall, and this looks great on me. • actual measurements: length ranges from 16 to 33 inches
• fabric: 100% linen, medium/heavy weight, dyed with professional colorfast dyes, sewn with a mix of finished and exposed serged seams • care: machine wash in cold, machine dry • hand made by me in my studio — one of a kind
