"I would call it an aesthetic and intellectual resource. That's what this house is for me." - Napoleon Jones-Henderson
As I sink deeply into my "pandemic-inspired" live-work situation, our house has become both more private and personal, and solely suited to us living in it and making stuff. I ... adore it.
This 5 minute video of artist Napoleon Jones-Henderson is about way more than that, but I've watched it a few times to absorb the backdrop of his place. We need to live in the ways that matter to us, in whatever ways we can. Now. No one else will grant permission. It's up to us. (I say this to remind myself.)
