cedarsack. Yeah it's a dress but also: it is a sack. It's a lot of dress, friends. It has, how do you say it? Some heft. And a dramatic silhouette.
Free-sculpted billowy sackdress made from heavy-weight linen, then toward the bottom it's cotton, then finished with matching lighter striped linen. Exposed serged seams. The flare is real: I spent about 26 years sewing around the hem. By the time I came back around, the cats no longer recognized me.
It's piney-green but with a bit more teal/blue than that.
- rough size: Extra Large to 1X - just needs to fit your bust
- actual measurements: bust 44, waist about 72, hips maybe infinity? — the hem is 140 inches around! Length varies from 35 to 40.
- for comparison — the dress form measurements are: bust 40 inches, waist 31, hips 41 - Size 14
- fabric: heavy linen on top, then cotton, and lighter striped linen at the bottom
- care: it's pre-washed and shrunk. Machine wash on gentle, cold, dry on low
