Sample sale? Isn't everything I make a sample sale? Yes kind of. But honestly this is a simple sheath dress with dolman sleeves that I whipped up to test out some ribbed cuffing I bought. How does it sew? How does it dye? It's a nice, simple sample with a ribbed neckline, long cuffs and wide bottom panel. Exposed serged seams. I garment-dyed it mottled grayish blue.

  • rough size: 2X / 3X but also works fine oversized
  • actual measurements: unstretched — bust is 60 inches but that's because of the doman sleeves - go by the waist and hip numbers, waist 52, hips 56, length 39 inches
  • for comparison — the dress form measurements are: bust 40 inches, waist 31, hips 41 - Size 14
  • fabric: cotton and lycra jersey
  • care: it's pre-washed and shrunk. Machine wash on gentle, cold, dry on low
