Helen The Seer Sucker

I've been a sucker for seersucker since watching that underrated 'occult detective fiction' show Kolchak The Night Stalker in the 70's over at the Lynch's house. His jacket, that ratty hat, the typewriter, his car — all more impressive in my memories than any of the plots.

But (cue the beep to scroll to the next image) I didn't know seersucker was available in ALL WHITE, and 100% cotton. I'm pretty thrilled with how the first yards washed up. It's super soft and billowy. Just dreamy. 

Prepare for SUMMER POD-SACKS of some sort. I'm starting the first one today. Uhhh — unless I spend too mush time internetting about the details of Kolchak's typewriter. I'll make a couple pieces, then garment-dye them, so we'll see if we get stripes. No stripes? Muted stripes? Not exactly a whodunnit or monster hunt but suspenseful enough for me. —helen
